Final Self Employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS) Grant

The fifth and final Self Employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS) grant is available to apply for from the government. The scheme is available to anyone who is self-employed or a member of a partnership and thinks their business profit will be impacted by the pandemic between 1 May 2021 and 30 September 2021.

You do not need to have applied for a SEISS grant previously however the fifth grant is calculated differently to the others. To make a claim you will need to submit two different turnover figures which HMRC will compare to work out the grant amount you can access.

In addition to your April 2020/21 turnover you will also need to submit either your 2019/20 or 2018/19 turnover. Both figures will be used to calculate your grant.

  • Turnover is down 30% or more, you will receive 80% of 3 months’ average trading profits, up to a maximum of £7,500.
  • Turnover is down by less than 30%, you will receive 30% of 3 months’ average trading profits, up to a maximum of £2,850.

You must make your claim on or before 30 September and you will be required to supply actual figures from your 2021 tax return. If you are considering making an application and do not have this information, please notify us of this and send in any outstanding documentation for us to process your tax return.

Please note, we cannot make your SEISS grant application for you, you must complete this yourself via your personal gateway.
